When our manager sees our value to the company, department or ourselves, it increases our drive to do better, because we all want to repeat what makes us feel good as a person. Rewards and recognition appeal to us at a very deep level, as it shows us that we are a worthwhile person in and of ourself. Once the session is complete, you will be able to differentiate the two levers that drive motivation, identify how and when to recognise someone’s work, and decide when it would be appropriate to reward and recognise one of your team members.
