Sexual Harassment In The Workplace

Welcome to our Sexual Harassment Awareness course. This session emphasises creating safe, inclusive environments in the workplace for everyone. We’ll equip you with the knowledge to identify, prevent, and respond effectively to sexual harassment, by understanding the legal frameworks and reporting mechanisms that are available. By the end of this course, you will be empowered with the knowledge on how to take appropriate action in the face of harassment.

• Understand the legal protections outlined in the Equality Act 2010, defining sexual harassment and mandating preventive actions by employers and institutions.
• Explore the avenues available to victims for seeking justice and support, including internal grievance procedures, employment tribunals, and civil courts.
• Examine the broader impacts of sexual harassment, including its effects on mental well-being, job satisfaction, and workplace culture, as well as its contribution to societal gender inequalities.
