An Introduction To Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Being treated less favourably is known as discrimination – this is when someone is treated unfairly based on any of the protected characteristics under the law, the Equality Act 2010. These characteristics include Age, Disability, Gender Reassignment, Marriage or Civil Partnership, Pregnancy and Maternity, Race, Religion or Beliefs, Sex and Sexual Orientation. Once this session is completed you will be aware as to how an individual can be discriminated and why equality, diversity and inclusion is very important in the workplace.
